Niagara Region Familiarization Tour

Tuesday, November 2nd 2010

Spend a day in one of Ontario’s most famous wine regions, sipping and sampling local food and drink. This exclusive event will bring together both media and delegates in a small group for an intimate bus tour that captures the heart of Niagara terroir. Experience the flavours Niagara has to offer while you participate in this incredibly authentic day trip.

We'll depart from Union Station in Toronto at 8 a.m. and head towards Niagara. First up, we'll check out Southbrook Winery to do some tastings and discuss the winery's sustainable, organic and biodynamic vineyard management, as well as their LEED certification.

Next we'll spend some time at Ravine Vineyard for a wine tasting and locally-focused lunch. This will be a great chance to try the bounty of Niagara in culinary form. The next winery we'll visit is Henry of Pelham for some more sampling, including a barrel cellar tasting focusing on Pinot Noir. Mario Pingue from Pingue Proscuitto will be on hand to conduct an in-depth charcuterie tasting.

There will also be a stop at Flatrock Cellars for some more wine tasting, paired with gourmet street food from the El Gastro food truck.

And after this amazing day, we'll have you back in Toronto by 6 p.m.

Only six tickets from this event are available to the general public at a cost of $95.00 each (+HST).

For accredited media who wish to participate in this regional familiarization tour please consult the media section of our summit website to submit your intentions.
